Academy Christian Church – Westside has spent years being a place where people gather, grow, and serve Old Colorado City with the love of Jesus. Now, we’re preparing for its next chapter, and we want you to be part of it.
Preparing for the Next Chapter
Beginning September 13th, Westside is pausing weekly Sunday morning services for a season of intentional preparation, with a full public relaunch planned for January 10th, 2027. This isn’t a closing. It’s a church sabbatical: taking a small step back so we can move forward with far greater impact, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.
What to Expect When We Relaunch

Why We're Doing This
Our mission as a church has never simply been to have a building that gathers people on Sunday mornings.

Sometimes the most faithful way to accomplish that is to pause, pray, and rebuild, before pressing forward.
Over these next several months, our team is intentionally seeking God, evaluating, and preparing. We're:
